Must see winery ... beautiful 1800's mansion overlooking Seneca Lake. Wine tastings are 6 wines plus wine glass for $2.50. Ask about the ghosts that haunt the mansion.

Rte 14 South about 1/2 way down the West side of Seneca Lake on the Left. Take Randall Crossing Road after the RR Tracks toward the lake. Check out the Randall and Miles grave stones on the Right.

One of the theories Miles and Hayes have heard about their ghosts revolves around a young couple who may have died tragically at the house. They haven't been able to trace the legend to true roots, but were intrigued by the story and the recollections of the elderly woman who told them of her childhood experiences at the house. She never minded being punished when her parents sent her to her room, because she always had the company of a nice man and woman who would come out of the walls and visit.
Four Chimney Winery
Website: http://www.fourchimneysorganicwines.com
Four Chimneys is the first organic winery in North America, having produced our premiere vintage in 1980. We are located on the western shore of Seneca Lake, the Finger Lakes' deepest and widest lake, on Yates County's "Hall Road Scenic Corridor" (its official designation) just before it descends to the peaceful lakeshore drive. Our Civil-War-period Victorian estate was described by National Geographic magazine as "the most picturesque winery in the Finger Lakes."

The tasting room is a restored dairy barn all pegged construction with huge oak timbers from 1860 with 36 foot ceilings and a view of the lake. We offer you many interesting gift ideas, souvenirs, snacks, and of course our wine! There is a 10 percent discount at the winery on 12 bottles of any varieties and 15 percent on 36 bottles--the same as when you buy wine for home delivery via UPS. The tasting room is open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 5, and Sunday 12 Noon to 5 pm.
